Conservation happens in community. Explore ways to volunteer or work with the Southeast Alaska Land Trust below.

Have an idea of how you can help? Some skill or talent? Are you a musician, carpenter, event strategist extraordinaire? We love to co-create. Contact bailey@sealt.org.
BECOME A LAND STEWARD.
Want to wander the woods or water? Do you value natural areas, have a commitment and connection to Southeast Alaska, a reasonable tolerance (or enthusiasm!) for mud, rain, devil’s club, and bears? Do you yearn for a chance to reciprocate care for this awesome land — to do something for the environment?
You’re in the right place. And we’re glad you’re here.
As a land steward, you’re a citizen scientist. You can “adopt” a conservation site. You’ll visit the conservation site several times annually, coordinating with our rad Stewardship manager to report observations.
⸙
As a Volunteer Land Steward, you’ll:
⸙Receive training + education about SEALT’s conservation sites, as well as on-the-ground experience in real-world conservation ⸙ Reciprocate love + care with Southeast Alaska ⸙ Spend time in the natural world ⸙ Network with a rad group of dedicated Loraxes — conservation professionals and fellow land stewards across Southeast Alaska.
