As part of our mission, we work to connect people to conservation land and the outdoors by 1) providing public access opportunities, and 2) through educational outreach programs and events. We truly believe that the protection of open space and recreational opportunities are essential for creating a healthy and strong community, and makes Juneau a better place to live and work.
There are many ways in which you can get involved with land conservation locally.
To meet other like-minded community members, why not come to one of our events? We host several throughout the year. See what’s coming up on our Events page.
Perhaps you’d like to be involved a little more regularly. If that’s the case, we are always on the lookout for volunteers. Whether it’s helping us out in the office, installing signs at one of our conservation properties, or holding a seat on our Board of Directors, we would love the help! Give us a call at (907) 586-3100, or send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
If you’re just trying to get a taste of what we do, then you may be interested in reading our newsletter. It is published biannually, and you can read the latest one here.
One of the best ways to stay abreast of all the Southeast Alaska Land Trust is doing, is to subscribe to our mailing list. We promise to never send you annoying spam, or to share your information.
