King Easement Amendment

Overview:
Adjacent to the Mendenhall Wetland State Game Refuge in Juneau, the King Property extends out from the forested open lands of Sunny Point. In December of 2002, Jim and Mary Lou King conveyed a 1-acre parcel of accreted tidelands to protect its open space and habitat qualities, and to inform surrounding landowners of the conservation options available to them. Currently, Southeast Alaska Land Trust is working with the King family on a conservation easement amendment that would protect an additional 11.6-acres of accreted land acquired through quiet title.

Property Owner: Jim King
