Jan Conitz, Secretary

Jan Conitz is a fisheries biologist currently employed by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. She is married to Carlos Piedra, a longtime commercial fisherman in Southeast Alaska. Together they enjoy spending time on the bountiful waterways and shores of Southeast Alaska, camping, fishing, hunting, beach-combing, and hiking. Jan has been a grant-writer for the Southeast Alaska Land Trust and currently chairs the outreach and education committee. She is a parent and has been active in a number of community organizations since moving to Juneau in 1976.
